Aden + Anais Muslin Swaddling Wrap

Written by therightbabygear

Last month, I was the the MOM2B tradeshow out in Vegas looking for some casual maternity wear.  One product I definitely wanted to check out was the TummyTs shirt (I’ll be discussing the TummyTs at a later time).  So I was talking to the sales rep and placing an order when she also introduced me to another product she represents…the Aden + Anais Muslin Swaddling Wrap

These wraps are great because of the light, open weaved cotton which will let air circulate through the material, preventing your baby from getting too hot.  The Aden + Anais wraps measures 47″ x 47″ pre-washed and 44″ x 44″ washed which is bigger than most wraps I’ve seen in the market.  It’s great because when you swaddle your baby, there’s still plenty of room at the bottom to allow your baby to move his/her feet without feeling restricted.  This was definitely a HOT product at the MOM2B Show.

These come in a pack of 4 and retails for $44.  I think that’s a great deal.

Does anyone own these wraps?  I would like your feedback on what you think of the product.

I too am a fan of these wraps! They feel great and are light and airy, yet still keep my son warm enough at night to have a great night’s sleep.

A friend of mine recommended these wraps after she bought a pack for her daughter. She had first heard about them on Oprah, I think. Now, her daughter can’t sleep without her wrap!

I’ve also spread the word about the wraps to my husband’s cousin, whose son is extremely allergic to most materials. He can only use/wear cotton, so I thought these might work well for him.

I’m very happy with them. I actually wish these were the only blankets I received at my baby shower! I ended up with so many receiving blankets that didn’t make for good swaddles because they were just too small. These wraps are a great size and offer plenty of wiggle room!

When talking to the rep for Aden + Anais, she said the same thing. She swears that mothers tell her that when swaddling their baby in this muslin wrap, they sleep through the night. I can’t explain why that is but I guess there is some validity based on Gia’s comments.

Wow…these sound great. My daughter won’t sleep in her crib unless she’s swaddled. I have only one blanket that works well right now, and I know it won’t be appropriate now that the weather is getting warmer (I live in Minnesota). Where can I find these?

Rachel, right now, we carry 4 styles, however, we are backordered on the pink ones. Go to http://www.embellishedmom.com/aden-anais-muslin-wrap.html. If you don’t see any style that you like, go to http://www.adenandanais.com/muslin-wraps.html.

I use these swaddle blankets, and they are great. They are HUGE, which is good because my baby is huge too. I also wish I had known about these before our baby was born so I could ask for them. We received tons of receiving blankets that we couldn’t use after about a month or two. Our son is 7 months old and still likes to be swaddled at night, so these work great. A bonus feature is that if you put one of these in your diaper bag, you’ll find about a million uses for it, like using it for tummy time while you’re at a friend’s house or my personal fave, as a nursing cover. I have a Hooter Hide (which I also love), but my son has begun tugging at it and moving it around. I have to constantly fight him to keep myself covered. This swaddle blanket is so huge that I don’t have to worry at all, but its lightweight enough that he isn’t burning hot underneath (and I live in the South).

I am the owner of TummyTs and I met the owners of Aden & Anais when I was pregnant with my son Cash. Reagan gave me a few samples and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I could not have gotten through those first few months without them!! My son is 8 months now, but I still have one in the diaper bag for a burp cloth, a stroller blankie, etc. They are great to have! I have given several as gifts to all of my pregnant friends because I swear by them!

I just got a pack of 4 summer weight wraps for my #2 (I’m due in early August). My 2 year old just loves them. He drags them around, snuggles with them, etc, he says “So soft” :) I’ve already found a gazzilion ways to use them, even for a toddler — changing mat, car blanket, blanket for his bed at night, for picnics, ….

My question is that this looks just like a regular muslin sheet. How do you swaddle them so that they don’t break free? I’ve got velcro on my winter swaddles and I just want to be sure before I order.

You swaddle the baby the same way you would with any other blanket/wrap. The great thing about the Aden + Anais is how soft the muslin cotton is as well as the breathability. Also, the wrap is quite large..47″ x 47″ prewashed. After wash, it may shrink to 44″ x 44″ which is still larger than other blankets I’ve seen. The soft muslin cotton allows air to flow through the wrap which will keep your baby nice and cool, allowing your baby to sleep better.

Many people have sworn that the Aden + Anais swaddling wraps made a big difference in how their baby sleeps at night.
