Quick Poll..

Written by therightbabygear

How many of you use a car seat cover?  If you do use one, was it worth it and how much did you pay for it?  If you don’t currently use one, would you consider purchasing one?  Here’s an example:

YES! I would love to use one. I haven’t really shopped around for one, but I think they are adorable and so convenient.

never used one previously. Won’t use one this time, unless there is maybe some crazy unforseen grossness that stains up the new seats right away.

These probably aren’t the best idea just on the basis that parents will buy these to cover their old seats, as opposed to purchasing new seats. Car seats have only a 6 year shelf life from the manufacturing date, due to the high temps in cars deteriorating the plastic.

I like my carseat (Maxi Cosi) colors so I probably wont buy one…plus, when we have a 2nd baby, I want all of the seats to coordinate…so they will be Maxi Cosi most likely…I guess if we have a girl next and I found a cute cover that would match…I MIGHT spring for one!

We bought a JJ Cole Infant Bundle Me Urban for our 3rd child to primarily be used as a blanket replacement. We love it!, b/c we don’t have to worry about falling blankets on dirty floors anymore, and baby is protected from the elements (esp. the cold Winter and rainy Spring). Got our Bundle Me for $12 new by registering with the Enfamil Family Beginnings program, thru which we received a $20 coupon in the mail towards any purchase at http://www.babycenterstore.com. The one we got was on sale for $25 at the time; I then used the coupon and paid $7 in shipping.
Wish I had the Infant Bundle Me with the 1st two kids, but (going back to your question) I wouldn’t buy just any ordinary car seat cover to be used solely for that purpose–the Bundle Me, however, has the added function as a great blanket replacement.

BTW, Babycenterstore.com is having free shipping w/ no minimum this week for Mother’s Day.
